Anti - Falls

Otago was developed and tested by the New Zealand Falls Prevention Research Group in New Zealand.

 

Otago is one of a few fall prevention programs that improves strength and balance and reduces falls and fall related injuries among older adults.

Seated Yoga 

Seated yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support. Benefits of seated yoga include: improved flexibility, better concentration and increased strength whilst providing necessary stability.

M1ND 

M1ND workouts are specifically designed around flexibility, mobility and stability. Each workout draws inspiration from a mix of sports, yoga, calisthenics and rehabilitation with the central theme being the connection between mind and movement.

Neuro Rehab

These gentle sitting exercises can be done in a safe environment and will help improve your mobility and prevent falls. This class is designed to support sufferers of MS, ME, Parkinsons and other neurological conditions. 

Yoga Align

Yoga Align, consisting of longer holding poses, focusing on stability and alignment to improve your yoga practise. 

You’ll need a Yoga mat, strap and cushions to support your practice.

Yoga Power

Mindful meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body. Mindfulness techniques can vary, but in general involves quiet breathing practice and awareness of body and mind.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra or yogic sleep in modern usage is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, typically induced by a guided meditation. A state called yoga nidra is mentioned in the Upanishads and the Mahabharata, but it offers no precedent for the modern technique.

Village Yoga

Yoga brings the body and mind together and is built on three main elements – movement, breathing and meditation. Yoga has many physical and mental health benefits including improved posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.

L1ft

Each week we will be doing one of these different Classes a week. 
L1ft -L1FT workouts involve high repetitions of relatively low weights (bar and weight plates or dumbbells), which reduces the chance of injury but still allows you to access the many benefits of resistance training: Build lean muscle mass. Increased muscle mass = increased fat burning power.

Sh1ft

Sh1ft -SH1FT– Smart high intensity functional training for all levels. L1FT – Strength and conditioning to build a strong and healthy body. R1ZE – High Intensity functional training using the Step. M1ND – Functional stretching, mobility and stability training for non-yogis.
