Longer Days Are Coming

We don't know about you but with the glimpses of sunlight and it still being light at 7pm now, it finally feels like Spring and Summer might be on it's way? I heard on a podcast last week that February had only 25 hours of sunlight.... Which is a pretty gloomy thought but could also explain any lower energy levels we were feeling with the shorter days and grey skies.
You might find that as the days are getting longer that energy levels are starting to build back up and maybe a bit more joy is returning?
With the changes in seasons we have had some changes to our schedules, with another new class being included. Starting this week we have the hatha flow class "Mind Over Mat" starting at a beautiful new wellness venue in Market Harborough. This class is a little different to our other yoga classes... Starting with dynamic flows, to build a bit of heat before ending in restorative stretches. This class is ideal for anyone who finds peace of mind in flows and consistent movement, before enjoying some rest and stretches with holding stretches at the end.
Another change is a change in venue for Seated yoga on Thursday and Daytime Village Yoga... These classes will now be being held at Carey Baptist Church, to allow for continuation and regularity of the sessions.
We also ran our first Rest & Flow online session on Sunday night, this 45min online yoga session consists of lovely stretches, meditations, breathwork and savasana - a lush way to welcome in the week and say goodbye to "Sunday Scaries". This session is free clients and their friends and family. Feel free to drop a message if you fancy booking in. We'll be holding them every 4- 6 weeks.
Finally, Seated Exercise classes have been going well, with the advanced group progressing to MSK exercises. This essentially means that they've been working more on core and upper body strength and incorporating more stretches at the end. Seated Yoga have been progressing to warming up with sun salutations and have finished standing balancing poses and will be exploring gentle backbends and heart openers over the next few weeks.
Village Yoga have been exploring variations and adapting poses to suit their individual bodies and needs. We've also been exploring warrior 3 and looking at lower body strength.
Hope you've enjoyed reading this little update and as always if any of the classes interest you or you have any feedback then feel free to drop a message.
Many Thanks
