Getting the T with Yes to Being Fit....

Updated: Mar 15

After a couple of years of silence on the blog post front, we are back and will be bringing fortnightly updates on what's been happening in Yes to Being Fit... Including information of new classes, going's on in current classes and exciting things are instructors have been getting up to. We may also throw in the occasional tips and tricks for fitness and wellbeing.

These past couple of weeks have been very busy, with the opening of not one but two new yoga classes last week! Due to popular demand we are now running a Daytime Village Yoga class, from 11:00- 12:00. This class will be exploring themes of yoga through physical practise with similarities to the night time Village yoga class. Speaking of which, this week in Village Yoga we explored our strength and building energy with some faster flows, followed by exploring Warrior 3 and finishing off with the usual savasana, welcoming in that Spring energy!

A special shoutout goes to Claire and Camilla for completing 20 hours of Village Yoga- we are impressed and they should be proud of their commitment and dedication to themselves and the practise! 100 hours and we might owe them a cake!

Our second new yoga class is a new Seated Yoga class in Kibworth- we had a lovely intimate group who enjoyed having a chat about listening to your body in yoga before exploring some stretches and flows. This is a cosy, relaxed venue where you can always have a natter and a cuppa before class.

In our Seated Exercise classes this week Raph had people working hard, and working on mobility with plenty of exercises around getting up and down on seats. We are also looking at starting some pre and post natal exercise classes that are suitable for both mum and baby to come along to, these will be around Bedford. These will be being run by the experienced and friendly Tara who is super passionate about enabling and encouraging mums to be able to keep exercising during or after childbirth, and as a mum herself she knows the benefits of exercise for your headspace when looking after a little one. Tara is scouting out luscious venues (even as we speak)- specifically looking at the option to potentially exercise outside in the summer.

Lastly- shout out to our yoga instructor Mollie for completing the Dark Skies Series Half marathon at Kielder water at the weekend. She proclaimed, "Never Again!" but we suspect that's not true! And you can guarantee that she's been doing plenty of yoga to rest and stretch in this last week.

If any of these classes interest you or you have specific areas that you would like discussed on this blog then feel free to drop us a message or email at info@yestobeingfit.com.

With Love
